Abhay Deol Is All Praise For Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker For Supporting Farmers’ Protest; Says ‘Y’all Should Be In The Next Rihanna Video’
A few days ago, international pop icon Rihanna tweeted about the farmers’ protest in India, post which several international public figures such as Greta Thunberg, Amanda Cerny, Jay Sean, Lilly Singh extended their support to the farmers protesting on the borders of New Delhi against the three farm laws. Post that, many Bollywood celebs such as Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and others tweeted similar statements about the farmers’ protest with the hashtag ‘India against propaganda’. In contrast to that, celebs such as Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Farah Khan Ali voiced their support for the farmers’ protest, and now, Abhay Deol has lauded the ladies for their stance.

Abhay Deol took to his Instagram and dedicated a special post to Taapsee, Swara and Farah Khan Ali by sharing the screenshots of their social media posts voicing their support to the farmers. Abhay Deol was all praise for the three women, and even suggested that they should feature in the next Rihanna video. “The popular expression, 'having the b@!!$' means to say 'having the courage.' Looking at these lovely ladies’ media feed and I think we should replace 'b@!!$' with 'V@£!/@' @taapsee, @farahkhanali @reallyswara ya’ll should be in the next @badgalriri video! Right wing trolls in 3, 2, 1,” wrote Abhay Deol.

Taapsee Pannu, in her tweet, appeared to have made an indirect comment about the outcry on social media after Rihanna’s tweet. She wrote, “If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others.”

Meanwhile, Farah Khan Ali wrote about the film fraternity’s almost identical tweets. “Disappointed with the fraternity tweeting identical tweets that make it more like a marketing gimmick. Whatever their reasons & I’m no one to judge at least u could have tried to make it more original. Now you have given yourselves away. Reel Life Heroes VS Real Life Heroes,” she wrote.
